As the owner and founder of Seattle Day Doula, I have worked with many families providing postpartum doula support and newborn support. I have been working with postpartum families for many years and am very adept at understanding and meeting the needs of new parents.
I was a professional nanny for 20 years before becoming a doula, during which I was able to gain tremendous knowledge through hands on experience with ages 0-10 years. With a passion to nurture and care for others, I was longing for something more intimate as a career, while still caring for and nurturing others. Learning of the role of a postpartum doula, a lightbulb went off in my head and I knew I had found the role I was meant for.
After having completed training as a Postpartum Doula at Bastyr University through DONA (Doulas of North America), I completed my Postpartum and Infant Certification through ProDoula. I am also a Newborn Care Specialist through Newborn Care Solutions.
My approach to providing doula support and newborn care is simple... I meet you where you are. This looks different for everybody and with a good support team in place, your transition becomes easier.
With a wealth of both experience and knowledge, I look forward to helping you welcome your new baby into your family.
